Ocelots are small wild cats native to the Americas, from Texas in the United States to northern Argentina. They are known for their beautiful spotted coat, similar to that of leopards, and are sometimes referred to as "dwarf leopards." Ocelots are solitary and secretive, primarily active during the night. They are skilled hunters, preying on a variety of small to medium-sized animals, such as rodents, birds, and reptiles. Ocelots inhabit various habitats, including rainforests, grasslands, and swamps. Unfortunately, they face threats such as habitat loss and illegal wildlife trade, leading to declining populations in some regions.
