Razorfish are elongated fish with sharp, slender bodies. They are often found swimming vertically in the water column, with their heads pointed downward and their tails upwards. Razorfish are excellent swimmers and rely on their streamlined bodies to navigate through the water. They primarily feed on plankton and small invertebrates, filtering them out of the water using their gill rakers. Razorfish are known for their ability to quickly bury themselves in the sand or mud when threatened. By positioning themselves vertically, they can easily disappear into the substrate, evading potential predators.
